Placement & Training Cell

The enterprising Placement and Training Cell at Karpagam University gears the students to be resourceful assets to their future employing organizations. Towards this, students are prepared with need-based training right from the first year onwards. Expert trainers from the industry impart their experience to enlighten the students. Therefore, comprehensive training in aptitude, soft skills as well as technical expertise is extended to bring about a well-rounded development in the students. Interviews and campus visits are much looked forward to, and every year, an increasing number of companies are making their presence felt at campus recruitment. The current year has seen more than 93% (300 students) get placed in over 20 companies; the expected placement for the next academic year is eyed to be an impressive figure of 400 students.

Training

Karpagam University"'"s Training Cell extends the best in class guidance in Aptitude, Analytical, Logical and English skills. Regular tests are conducted in these areas as per the company patters and hence the all-round development of students in different facets is well ensured. Aptitude training comprises Aptitude problem solving, Arithmetic reasoning, Analytical reasoning, Logical reasoning, Verbal reasoning and puzzles. Soft skills training include Personality Development, Group Discussion, Communication Skills, Spoken English, Interview Skills, Mock Interview, Body Language, etc. Among technical skills, the stress is laid on Object Oriented Programming - Advanced Concepts, Computer Hardware and System Software Concepts, Analysis of Algorithms, VLSI / Embedded Systems, Pro-E / Ansys and need-based training for core companies. To strengthen the communication skills of the First Year students, Spoken English classes are held on Saturdays & Sundays.
