The first Post-Graduate department established in 1996, the Department of Business Administration offers two-year full-time MBA programme with dual specializations in Finance, HR, Marketing and Systems. Keeping pace with the dynamics of Management Studies, the Department amplifies the thrust on emerging trends like Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, Insurance Management, Pharmaceutical Marketing and IPR. It offers specialization programmes like Hospital Management, Export Management and Software Management. All the programmes of the department are approved by AICTE. Backed by an experienced faculty, with over 60% of them holding doctorates, it is recognized to offer research programmes in M.Phil and Ph.D. Besides business principles, the Department is committed to foster the essence of business ethics and values. The Department of Business Administration is enriched with strong faculty strength with many of them holding Doctoral Degrees. Further the department takes the following initiatives to enhance students’ knowledge: Corporate Research Exercises, Company Analysis, Meet the Executive programme, Economic Times Club, Personality Development Programme, Management Meet, Management Games,International Student Interaction Programme.

Academics

MBA with Export Management specialization is a rarely available course. This programme helps the corporate houses exclusively dealing with export/import. Now-a-days a large number of 100% EOUs, FTZs, EPZs coming up at various parts of our country give an opportunity for large scale employability.MBA Software Management attracts more jobs in India as well as outside India. This course is specially designed to take up the challenges posed by the IT sector. Increasing number of IT, ITES, BPOs, KPOs, and Software Testing helps the government to earn foreign currency.
