Software Systems is now ubiquitous. Virtually all electrical equipment now includes some kind of software; software is used to help run manufacturing industry, health care, finance and government; many people use software of different kinds for entertainment and education. The specification, development, management and evolution of this software make up the discipline of software systems. Even simple software has a high inherent complexity so Software Systems principles have to be used in their development. This course will enrich the Software Systems principles to the students. The Main objective of the course is as follows

• To enable the coherent and comprehensive coverage of software change concepts
• To enhance the theoretical and practical base for the skills required to effect, control and manage changes for evolving Software Systems
• To equip the framework for understanding and applying current maintenance techniques and methods to solve problems
• Full lifecycle application development
• Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.
• Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
• Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)
• Software modeling and simulation
• Front end graphical user interface design
• Software testing and quality assurance
• Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
• Support, maintain and document software functionality
• Integrate software with existing systems
• Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
